You guys have been asking for it, so here it is! Dynamic Rifle & Pistol is a two day class with our focus split between both the rifle and pistol platforms. We will do a deep dive into the fundamentals marksmanship at speed and how the speed and accuracy principles apply to both rifle and pistol. This is not just a 1 day rifle class followed by a 1 day pistol class - we will split our time between both platforms for the full 2 days! Class will culminate with shooting a dynamic 2 gun stage to put everything together!
Topics Covered:
- Grip and mount (connection)
- Sight management and confirmation levels
- Balancing speed vs accuracy on targets of varying difficulty
- Rifle presentations and the OWB draw
- Target transitions - principles and application
- Entries and exits
- Shooting on the move
Hit Factor scoring: how to utilize HF to properly measure both speed and accuracy and strike the best balance of both
NOTE: while beginner shooters will definitely benefit from this class, this SHOULD NOT be your first training class. Students will be required to have comprehensive understanding of gun safety, be able to work out of a holster safely, and be able to hit an A-zone or 8” circle on demand from 10 yards with no time limit.
REFUND POLICY: Refunds will only be given if Gateway Defense has to cancel a class. No refund will be given due to a student being unable to attend. A full class credit will be issued for a future Gateway Defense class by notifying brennan@gateway-defense.com no less than 14 days prior to the class date.
